My goal is to conquer all the cookbooks, cooking magazines and Internet sites that are cluttering my life with delicious food. I will do this by cooking and baking which I love to do.

  1. I was going to ask the same thing, what is chulent? I’m coming over for the broccoli cheddar crepes!

  2. Stopping by from MPM. I have no idea what Chulent is but the rest of your meals sound delish- a lot like we eat.

    • Chulent is a meal, we at on the Jewish Sabbath. It is similar to a stew and you put it in a crockpot, Friday evening and it cooks until you have lunch, the next day. It has barley, beans, meat, potatoes and whatever one likes. We put in kasha instead of the barley. I have made it with beef or chicken. I add a sweet potato sometimes. I brown onions first and add them to the mix.

We also put it kishke. Do you know what that is?
