My Secret Ingredient Burger

We don’t eat meat enough for me to make claim to a favorite burger.  I can say this is a very good burger, maybe an excellent burger.

I am not sure what the secret ingredient is.  First, I was going to say Worcestshire sauce which gives it a full flavor and then I thought of the carrots which add a tinge of sweetness.  Both make a difference.  OK, we have two secret ingredients.  I guess, they are not secret anymore.

Burgers

Ingredients:

one pound beef, chicken or turkey or any combination of these

3 tablespoons Worcestshire sauce

1 carrot, shredded

1 onion, shredded

1/2 red pepper, shredded

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4  teaspoon hot paprika

1 teaspoon oregano or basil

Method:

Process red pepper, carrot and onion.

Mix chopped meat with seasonings.

Add vegetables to mixture.

Form patties out of t his mixture.

Grill with potatoes.

Serve dinner which is composed of burgers, grilled potatoes and corn salad.

For the Bland family which we can be when I cook it hubby’s way, this was quite tasty.  Received accolades from the man of the house.  Sometimes, tasty is good.
