Apple Grape Coleslaw

Coleslaw can be so mundane.  It is not one of my favorite food so for me to enjoy it, it needs a twist, an extra ingredient, some difference from the norm.  When, I came across this recipe, I knew this was my twist.  Apples, I have put into coleslaw and it gives the salad, a whole new dimension.  I could only imagine what grapes would do to it.

Apple Grape Coleslaw

Ingredients

  1 bag shredded cabbage

  salt

1 red apple, chopped

  pepper

1/2 cup fresh seedless grapes

1/4 cup mayonnaise

  1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  2 tablespoons lemon juice

  1 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon  grated onion

Method:

Add salt, pepper, sugar, onion and vinegar to shredded cabbage.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Then add grapes and dressing ingredients.
Toss together, chill and serve.
Each time, I bit into a grape and felt the juices flowing in my mouth, I knew this was an addition to coleslaw, I wanted to keep.
